Sardis Road Connector Project

The Sardis Road Connector Project consists of widening and reconstructing of several existing local roads and streets with the addition of some new roadways and new alignment. The project will begin at the Sardis Road and Chestatee Road intersection and will extend northward to SR 60 in the vicinity of the intersection of Mt. Vernon Road. The length of the proposed project is approximately 3.55 miles and will provide a connector roadway between SR 53 to the south and SR 60 to the north. The proposed roadway will consist of a four-lane curb and gutter divided roadway, having 2 lanes in each direction. The lanes will be separated by a 20-foot wide, 6 inch high curb and gutter median. Sidewalks will be provided on both sides of the road having a design speed limit of 45 mph.  For an aerial representation of the project, please refer to the links below:
